Why a System Beats a Single Coat
Steel fails at its weakest layer. A tough membrane over a poorly-anchored surface peels in sheets. A perfectly-bonded film with no UV package chalks and checks in outdoor sun. A beautiful topcoat over active rust is a countdown timer. That is why CorroShield sells rust proof coatings — plural — as matched stacks rather than a single hero product.
Stage 1 — CS-Prime penetrating primer. A low-viscosity, moisture-tolerant primer that wicks into tightly-rusted profiles, displaces residual moisture from pores and pits, and converts a marginal surface into a stable anchor layer. This is the stage that lets maintenance crews coat over sound surface rust instead of blasting to white metal.
Stage 2 — CS-Membrane polyurea barrier. The workhorse: a 100%-solids elastomeric membrane at 40–60 mils that breaks the electrolyte circuit driving corrosion. Tensile strength near 2,800 PSI, elongation over 350%, and no seams for moisture to exploit.
Stage 3 — CS-Topcoat aliphatic finish. Aromatic polyureas are structurally superb but amber in sunlight. The aliphatic topcoat locks in color and gloss for outdoor assets, adds a cleanable surface for branded equipment, and takes the UV hit so the membrane never has to.
Not every job needs all three. Indoor structural steel often runs Stage 1 + 2. Color-critical outdoor equipment runs the full stack. Our matrix tells you — and your customers — exactly which.
Job Profiles We Bundle For
Rescue work: rusted-but-sound farm implements, trailers and plant equipment get Prime + Membrane, arresting corrosion without blasting downtime.
New steel: fabricators apply Membrane only, straight over blasted surfaces, as a factory-applied upgrade line item.
Sun-and-salt assets: coastal railings, outdoor tanks and fleet bodywork carry the full three-stage stack for color hold plus corrosion arrest.
Reseller bundles: distributors stock the three stages in matched kit quantities — one SKU family, one spec card, one margin structure — instead of assembling primers and topcoats from three vendors that were never tested together.
